<div>Findings demonstrated that speech therapy resulted in improved quality of life and cough severity (effect size = 0.86) in adults with chronic cough.&nbsp; Compared to non-scope treatments, speech therapy had the greatest proportion of patients with improved cough (86%) and was not associated with adverse events. Of note, trigger reduction therapy and breath training therapy led to lower post-treatment cough severity index than cough suppression techniques. <br><br>Limitations to this review included a lack of direct comparisons between groups, low-to-intermediate quality evidence, and high heterogeneity. Further research is warranted.</div>
