<div>Findings suggested that there is emerging evidence to indicate that supplementing speech-language therapy by a monolingual SLP in the client's second language (L2) with indirect SLP services (i.e., consulting or training a bilingual intervention partner who is fluent in the clients first language [L1] and L2) can facilitate L2 vocabulary growth and support L1 vocabulary learning. "Parent involvement with systematic language stimulation, parent mediated dialogic book reading, and the use of computer-based bilingual presentations appear to be promising ways to implement home language vocabulary goals for monolingual SLPs" (p. 3). The included studies, however, were unable to demonstrate generalization for overall L1 and L2 vocabulary.</div>
