<div>For individuals with epilepsy, cognitive rehabilitation (CR) may provide attention and memory benefits. Across studies, treatment effects ranged from no significant improvement to modest improvements. Results varied according to the type of epilepsy and surgical status (e.g., patients who had undergone surgery to treat epilepsy, non-surgical patients).</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The authors conclude that "these results provide some support than CR may be a useful resource to alleviate cognitive disturbances and consequent psychosocial difficulties in [patients with epilepsy] PWE, in particular patients with TLE" (pp. 216-217). Future randomized controlled studies with larger patient groups, standardized interventions, and patient follow-up are recommended.</div>
