Overall, results indicated interventions focused on behavior analytic principles may be valuable in addressing conditions secondary to developmental regression associated with developmental disabilities (i.e., childhood disintegrative disorder, autism spectrum disorder, Landau-Kleffner, Rett syndrome). Results also suggested the following: <ul> <li>Positive outcomes for interventions that focused on developing new skills to compensate for lost skills (i.e., compensatory orientation) but interventions focused on restoring lost skills, such as speech, did not appear to be successful.</li> <li>Parents and teachers can successfully implement a range of intervention procedures.</li> </ul>
