Findings demonstrated that high intensity interventions (e.g., therapy delivered over two to three sessions per week with 50 to 70+ trials) were the most effective for children with speech sound disorders. Based upon these results, the authors of this review suggest that the Quick Articulation! model (i.e., therapy delivered via individual sessions, two to three times per week with 50 to 100 trials) may be a feasible service delivery model for children with speech sound disorders. Limitations to this review include an overall paucity of high-quality research and heterogeneity in included studies' designs.
