Two of the nine included studies explicitly focused on interprofessional collaboration (IPC) that included speech-language pathologists. The two studies were reported to investigate externally facilitated interventions and interprofessional meetings, respectively. Externally facilitated interventions to improve IPC was suggested to positively impact patient health outcomes such as functional status; however, effects on quality of life was uncertain and impact on patient morbidity/complications was not reported. The impact of interprofessional meetings on patient health outcomes was not reported.
