The findings of the meta-analysis indicate that canalith repositioning maneuvers are safe and very effective treatments for individuals with posterior canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Canalith repositioning treatment resolved clinical symptoms (e.g., positional nystagmus) with a single treatment session 72% of the time as compared to observation alone. The difference between treatment and observation was statistically significant (p <0.00001).
