The core members of the multidisciplinary stroke team should include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, and social workers for patients with acute stroke (Level II-1, Grade A).

Patients with acute stroke and suspected dysphagia should undergo a water swallowing test. If indicated, additional instrumental evaluation (e.g., video fluoroscopic swallowing examination, modified barium swallow study) can be conducted at a later time (Level III, Grade C).
