<div>Telepractice, or teleaudiology, is a promising modality for providing remote rehabilitative services for the fitting and maintenance of hearing aid devices in adults with hearing loss. The limited amount of low quality evidence available indicates:</div> <ul> <li>The amount of time to complete hearing aid fitting and maintenance procedures via telepractice may increase in time with untrained support staff.</li> <li>The quality of fitting consultation services for new hearing aid users via telepractice are similar to services in person.</li> <li>The effectiveness of teleaudiology services needs further research to determine validity and reliability.</li> </ul>
