Studies investigated outcomes of different counseling techniques applied either pre-fitting or post-fitting for patients with hearing aid devices. Results regarding the amount of time hearing aids are worn were inconsistent ranging from no statistically significant differences to statistically significant increases in the amount of time hearing aids were worn by patients.</div>
Patient reported perception of hearing aid benefit after participating in different counseling techniques either at pre-fitting or post-fitting were inconsistent. Results ranged from no statistically significant differences in perception of benefit to statistically significant improvements in the perception of benefits provided by hearing aids.
