<div>Cognitive strategy training showed significant effects (standard mean deviation [SMD]=0.26) on cognition compared to conventional rehabilitation in middle-aged and older adults with MCI. Cognitive strategy training cycles showed positive effects at both less than 8 weeks (SMD=0.01) and for more than 8 weeks (SMD=0.59).</div>

<div>Limitations of this review include heterogeneity of interventions, variability of cognitive tests, and differences in participant characteristics (e.g., educational background, medication use). Additional research is needed to investigate the content of cognitive training and the frequency and duration of interventions.</div>
<div>Virtual reality (VR) training showed significant effects (SMD=0.53) on cognition compared to conventional rehabilitation in middle-aged and older adults with MCI. VR training intervention cycles showed positive effects at both less than 8 weeks (SMD=0.67) and for more than 8 weeks (SMD=0.38). Subgroup analysis found the greatest effects on the following domains:</div>
