The CAA offers an accreditation program for eligible entry-level clinical doctoral programs in audiology and master’s programs in speech-language pathology. Graduate programs are listed in alphabetical order by the name of their sponsoring institution of higher education and organized by accreditation status, e.g., Accredited. Applicant programs do not appear in this list until such time that a site visit has been scheduled to review the program. Each listing includes a program’s accreditation history, current cycle, and the date of next review. Additional information is included in program listings for CAA decisions made within the last 12 months. If the CAA found the program in non-compliance with any standard as part of its decision, the program listing includes the decision, decision date, the list of cited standards, and a link to the decision letter with the issues noted. For programs found to be in compliance with all standards, the listing includes a statement noting compliance. Notice of Intent to Voluntarily Withdraw
On 8/23/2022, Arizona State University reported to the CAA its future plans to voluntarily withdraw the accreditation of the clinical doctoral program in audiology (AuD) due to the potential pending closure of this program. The CAA is awaiting official documentation and receipt of materials required from programs pending withdrawal of accreditation. The program will maintain its current status (accredited) with the CAA until the program has closed, barring any interim decisions by the CAA or the program.

On 9/15/2023, California University of Pennsylvania reported to the CAA that it was voluntarily withdrawing from accreditation of the master of science (M.S.) speech-language pathology program effective on 9/15/2023, due to its institutional merger that created Pennsylvania Western University, which was awarded initial accreditation by the CAA on 7/22/2023. The CAA voted to acknowledge the voluntary withdrawal at its October 20, 2023 meeting.

On 9/18/2023, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania reported to the CAA that it was voluntarily withdrawing from accreditation of the master of arts (M.A.) speech-language pathology program effective on 9/18/2023, due to its institutional merger that created Pennsylvania Western University, which was awarded initial accreditation by the CAA on 7/22/2023. The CAA voted to acknowledge the voluntary withdrawal at its October 20, 2023 meeting.

On 10/18/2023, Clarion University of Pennsylvania reported to the CAA that it was voluntarily withdrawing from accreditation of the master of science (M.S.) speech-language pathology program effective on 12/31/2023, due to its institutional merger that created Pennsylvania Western University, which was awarded initial accreditation by the CAA on 7/22/2023. The CAA voted to acknowledge the voluntary withdrawal at its October 20, 2023 meeting.

Notification of Program Closure
On 01/04/2023, the CAA received notification from Trine University that its MS-SLP candidacy program closed as of 12/15/2022. The CAA voted to acknowledge the program notification of voluntary withdrawal of accreditation and closure on February 13, 2023.

On 12/04/2023, the CAA received notification from The College of Saint Rose that the institution would be closing on June 30, 2024. The CAA will vote to acknowledge this closure at a future CAA meeting. The program will maintain its current status (accredited) with the CAA until the program has closed, barring any interim decisions by the CAA or the program.

On 12/15/2023, the CAA received notification from Fontbonne University that its MS program would be closing its satellite location in Kansas City, MO at Avila University in May 2025. The CAA will vote to acknowledge this closure at a future CAA meeting. The program will maintain its current status (accredited) with the CAA for the satellite location until it has closed, barring any interim decisions by the CAA or the program.

On 03/13/2024, the CAA received notification from Fontbonne University that the university would be closing on August 15, 2025. The CAA will vote to acknowledge this closure at a future CAA meeting. The program will maintain its current status (accredited) with the CAA until it has closed, barring any interim decisions by the CAA or the program.
