Effective patient and family counseling prior to cochlear implant surgery can improve post-surgery patient satisfaction outcomes. This webinar will provide information and recommendations to clinical audiologists on the importance of pre-implant counseling for adult patients with postlingual deafness. The presenter will also discuss specific guidelines for presurgical counseling.

Presenter Information
Kerry Pendak, AuD, CCC-A, obtained her AuD from Vanderbilt University in 2007 and has been a clinical audiologist at Dartmouth Health in New Hampshire for the past 18 years. She specializes in adult amplification management, with a focus in hearing aids, bone conduction devices, and cochlear implants. She is a State Champion for cochlear implants for the American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACIA).
