Outlining the Use of Strategic Questioning and Applying the Code of Ethics

These Perspectives (SIG 11) articles outline the use of strategic questioning methods to stimulate students' critical thinking and other higher order thinking skills. In addition, the Code of Ethics is discussed as it relates to supervisory experiences across various settings.
You will be able to:
- describe at least one strategic questioning approach and explain the evidence for using it in the clinical teaching setting
- summarize the principles and rules of the Code of Ethics as they relate to supervision
Ethics: Professional Development Requirement
This course is registered under the Ethics and Ethical Decision-Making subject code and will fulfill the 1-hour Ethics professional development requirement for ASHA’s certification maintenance, which is in effect beginning with certificate holders in the 2020-2022 certification maintenance interval.
