In this course, a panel of experts explore both professional- and patient-related advocacy considerations that impact evidence-based practice and dysphagia management across a variety of adult and pediatric medical settings. The panel addresses advocating at the administrative level for instrumental access, navigating challenging conversations with the interprofessional team, considering informed consent and patient rights, and removing barriers in implementing evidence-based practice.
