Functional speech disorders (FSDs) are distinguishable from neurogenic motor speech disorders based on positive clinical features rather than a diagnosis based on exclusion. However, differential diagnosis and management can be challenging. This webinar will provide an overview of the diagnosis and management of FSDs through a number of case examples. The presenter will discuss strategies for documentation, billing, and reimbursement.

Learning Outcomes
You will be able to:

  • Explain the current outlook for patients with FSDs
  • Describe how SLPs can contribute to diagnosing FSDs
  • Summarize how to explain and manage FSDs
