The Everyday Adventures of Mrs. Dennis
Speech-language pathologists (or SLPs for short) are important members of the school community. But do you know what they do?
Follow Mrs. Dennis, CCC-SLP, through her day of adventure and find out about all the different ways she helps students with communication disorders. You’ll see her in the classroom, in her therapy room, at the playground at recess, and the cafeteria!
This book is for families, children who are either about to begin receiving speech-language services or who are already receiving services, and their peers. It’s also for educators to read to their students. SLPs can use it to teach children about the scope of an SLP’s services. The book includes discussion questions and definitions of key terms.
