This SIG 11 activity examined the rising enrollment of students with disabilities in speech-language pathology and audiology graduate programs, focusing on accommodations in external clinical placements. While academic accommodations are well-established, clinical settings present challenges. A survey of 49 educators found only nine had supervised students with disabilities. Common accommodations included attendance, timing, and workload adjustments. Educators were generally supportive, but faced barriers like inconsistent disclosure, FERPA concerns, and physical limitations. The study calls for standardized processes and better training to foster inclusivity in clinical education.
