The COVID-19 pandemic has turned our personal and professional worlds upside down. Yet, something positive can come from this pandemic if we see this challenge as an opportunity to re-examine what and how we practice. This session will ask you to take a step back and analyze your practice and services. Is your audiology practice more device-centered or person-centered? Are you seeing more patients per day but spending less time with each in an attempt to generate more revenue? Are you being asked by medical partners to “crank out audios”? The speaker will explore how audiologists can redesign what we do by going back to basics while expanding our practices in new and innovative ways, including embracing new technology (e.g., tablet audiometry, OTCs, and virtual visits) and using new fitting models for hearing aids or implants.

This course is a recorded session from the 2020 Audiology Online Conference “Evolving Clinical Practice: Present and Future Considerations.”
