Description:
This
webinar will explore how clinical educators in communication sciences and
disorders (CSD) programs can implement inclusive, effective, and appropriate
accommodations for graduate students with disabilities. The speakers will
address the legal framework for accommodations, key principles of inclusivity,
and effective use of campus disability support services. The webinar will
highlight case examples to explore viable options for implementing specific
accommodations in clinical education.

Information
Victoria
A. Bartunek, MA (she/her/ella) earned her Master’s
degree at Ball State University and Bachelor’s degree at San
Francisco State University. Victoria has dedicated her professional career to
supporting individuals with disabilities in various sectors. She has worked
with students with disabilities in K-12, community college, 4-year
institutions, and at Oregon DHS supporting Oregonians with disabilities. She
currently acts as the Director of Accessibility and Accommodations at Pacific
University, supporting students, faculty, and staff.

Elaine
Mormer, PhD, CCC-A (she/her/hers) is professor and Vice Chair
for Clinical Education in the University of Pittsburgh CSD Department. She
served as director of Audiology Clinical Education for over 25 years. Dr.
Mormer teaches CSD students in the classroom and clinic, including a course on
evidence-based clinical instruction. She has provided continuing education
programs on clinical education at national and international venues. She was a
2019 co-recipient of the Provost’s Innovation in Education Award and
the 2020 American Academy of Audiology Outstanding Educator Awardee.
